Job summary

Allura Partners is seeking a Senior Digital Business Analyst for an insurance-focused digital transformation. The role centers on translating requirements into improved digital customer journeys with a UX emphasis and mentoring responsibilities for other BAs.

You will lead discovery and requirements, map journeys across CTP workflows, and collaborate with UX, product and tech teams to prioritise and refine backlog items within an agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Senior BA in financial services.
• Digital or customer-focused BA experience.
• Proven experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Background in process mapping, customer journeys and workflow optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, scoping and requirements definition from ideation through to go-live.
• Map current and future state customer journeys across digital CTP workflows.

Senior Digital Business Analyst - Insurance

About the Company

Our client is a major Australian services business with a strong presence in the Sydney market. They're currently investing in a significant digital transformation, modernising customer-facing platforms across their motor and CTP insurance products.

About the Role

Join a consumer value stream driving a CTP legacy uplift program. You'll work closely with design, product and technology teams, acting as a key interface between business and tech. This is a UX-focused BA role, translating requirements into improved digital customer journeys, with a mentoring component guiding other BAs.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, scoping and requirements definition from ideation through to go-live
• Map current and future state customer journeys across digital CTP workflows
• Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders on business needs, priorities and solution options
• Decompose initiatives into features, producing user stories, process maps and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with UX, product and technology teams, and support the Product Owner with backlog analysis and defect triage

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years' experience as a Senior BA within financial services; general insurance experience desirable
• Strong BA experience in digital or customer-facing environments
• Proven experience working within agile delivery teams
• Background in process mapping, customer journeys and workflow optimisation
• Exposure to B2C platforms or retail products; insurance experience (especially CTP or motor) highly desirable
• Comfortable operating in transformation or legacy uplift programs
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Preferred: experience delivering digital transformation initiatives within insurance, or working across mainframe/legacy environments integrated with modern digital platforms
