Job summary

Settify, an Australian legal tech company, is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to own and modernize our AWS infrastructure while steering a product rebuild in TypeScript and AI technologies. You will work closely with developers to shape deployment, monitoring, and reliability as we expand into new regions from our Sydney base.

The role offers a flexible, hybrid Sydney-based arrangement and the opportunity to influence production tooling, logs, and observability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong AWS experience with EC2, RDS and DynamoDB.
• VPC networking, IAM, access controls and secrets management.
• Docker; ECS or Kubernetes (including EKS).
• CDK or Terraform; CI/CD pipelines and rollbacks.
• Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus or CloudWatch for monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Take Settify to new regions with regional environments that are easy to deploy and maintain.
• Make deployments easier by improving CI/CD pipelines and rollback ability.
• Make problems easier to spot and fix with logs, metrics, traces and alerts.
• Support LLM features with model access, tracing and evaluation pipelines.
• Keep customer data secure with permissions, secrets, encryption and backups.
• Build tools and automate repetitive tasks, and write clear documentation.
