Job summary

Luxoft in Sydney is seeking an experienced DevOps Automation Lead to drive enterprise DevOps practices across application development and infrastructure teams. You will shape CI/CD, IaC, cloud automation, and containerization strategies while mentoring engineers and delivering scalable deployment pipelines.

Ideal candidates will have ~10 years IT experience with strong CI/CD, cloud, IaC, and DevSecOps expertise, plus a proven track record in automation, monitoring, and agile delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with DevOps tools (GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• 5+ years with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Git-based version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Strong scripting in Python and PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (New Relic, CloudWatch, GCP Monitoring).
• Familiar with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise DevOps strategy, governance, and best practices across projects.
• Lead transformation initiatives and automation-first culture across development and operations teams.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices across platforms.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Automation Lead to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise DevOps and automation practices across application development and infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of IT experience, with strong expertise in CI/CD, cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, deployment automation, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise DevOps and automation strategy. Establish DevOps standards, governance, and best practices. Lead DevOps transformation initiatives across multiple projects. Drive automation-first culture across development and operations teams. Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines. Able to Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes. Implement continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment practices. Improve deployment frequency while reducing deployment risks. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. Automate infrastructure provisioning and environment management. Develop reusable infrastructure templates and modules. Lead cloud automation initiatives across platforms like AWS, Azure etc. Design and manage container-based deployment architectures. Implement and support Docker, Kubernetes

SKILLS

Must have

• Have ~7+ years of experience in DevOps tools, demonstrating proficiency in DevOps tools like GitHub, Docker, Kubernets, Terraform,
• Have ~5+ years of experience in CI/CD tools, demonstrating proficiency Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Have good experience in at least one or more versiob control systems like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
• Have strong scripting & programming experience in Python, Powershell.
• Have strong experience in monitoring, observability & logging tools like but not limited to New Relic, CloudWatch, GCP Monitoring
• Embrace an agile mindset and have a level of familiarization with Agile methodologies along with having a knack for crafting solutions that facilitate business process automation.
• Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university or college.
