Job summary

IDEMIA Group in Canberra seeks a DevSecOps engineer to transform requirements into robust software and to integrate systems for cloud or on‑prem infrastructure.

You will develop and execute a DevSecOps strategy to ensure quality deployments, secure infrastructure, and high availability, while contributing to biometrics security projects.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in object‑oriented and agile software development.
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in similar DevOps and Cloud engineering role.
• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering / Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
• Experience in writing Design Documentation.
• Extensive Knowledge of configuration management tools and languages (Terraform, Ansible, GIT, etc.).
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure and architecture.
• Basic database knowledge and best practices.
• Security awareness.
• Windows, GNU/Linux, networking knowledge.
• Containerization and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Cloud knowledge (Private and Public).
• Knowledge on DevSecOps process and different tools (Jira, Testlink, GIT, etc.).
• CI/CD tools and platforms knowledge (Jenkins, CI/CD as a service, etc.).
• Ideally familiar with open-source technologies like Kubernetes, kafka, Drools, Elasticstack etc
• Experience in Linux and Windows environment and scripting is compulsory
• Hands-on different development, automation, build and test environments (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.).
• Strong understanding of software lifecycle (agile, waterfall, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains infrastructure code.
• Defines and implements architectures CI/CD process tailored for the team’s environment.
• Develop infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices, and improve operational performance, quality considering security and service health.
• Improves development, deployment and testing to make it as automated as possible.
• Supports teams by sharing knowledge and best practices (including clear documents for complex integration procedures).
• Participate in software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.).
• Uses programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write software code/script that meets requirements and that optimize software performance.
• Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements.
• Documents and demonstrations solutions by developing code/script comments, layouts, diagrams and charts.
• Will be assigned to work on product development, delivery and maintenance of projects.
• Operate and Troubleshoots Cloud infrastructure issues.

DevSecOps transform requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction. He/She must be able to do System integration, for cloud or on-prem infrastructure.

Responsible for developing and executing a Development Operations (DevSecOps) strategy to ensure quality software and infrastructure deployments and overall application health, security and performance, for cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

The candidate participates in the realization of high systems technology in the field of biometrics applied to security, civil ID and/or border control applications.

Key Missions
