Job summary

Publicis Sapient in Melbourne seeks an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to design and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure or GCP. You will automate deployments, monitor systems, and drive security and reliability for scale-ready platforms.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, implementing IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM, and leading automation efforts while mentoring junior team members in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, or GCP in enterprise settings.
• Proficient in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and related tooling.
• Knowledge of monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Strong networking, security and compliance in clouds.
• Able to work in Agile teams with cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership.

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions to enhance the scalability, security, and efficiency of digital platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes, ensuring seamless and reliable operations.

Your Impact

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using best practices in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize platform performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance of cloud-based systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
• Drive automation of repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency.
• Implement security best practices, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align DevOps practices with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) and automation frameworks.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Set Yourself Apart With

• Certifications in AWS (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect), Azure (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect), or GCP.
• Experience with serverless computing, microservices architecture, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation.
