Ascend Recruit Pty is partnering with a family‑owned Australian developer to appoint a Senior Development Manager for luxury residential, mixed‑use and hospitality projects on the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.

You will own the commercial delivery outcomes from feasibility through to settlement, leading top‑tier consultants and managing joint venture relationships in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of property development management experience.
• Delivery background in multi-storey apartment, hotel, or mixed-use developments.
• Exceptional financial modelling and feasibility skills.
• Working knowledge of QLD and NSW planning processes.
• Tertiary qualifications in Property, Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Law or Finance.
• Comfortable working directly with founders in a fast-paced, family-owned business.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility to settlement.
• Design & approvals: Lead consultants to deliver luxury design briefs and approvals.

• Premium remuneration package: Up to $250,000 + Superannuation

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established, family‑owned Australian property developer with a reputation for shaping high‑end destinations since 2002.

Known for exceptional design standards and luxury positioning across residential and hospitality sectors, they are seeking a hands‑on Senior Development Manager. Operating out of their Gold Coast office, you will own the commercial and delivery outcomes of landmark projects, major high‑rise joint ventures—taking them from initial feasibility through to settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full project lifecycle, overseeing feasibility models, cash flows, funding assumptions, and development structuring.
• Design & Approvals: Lead top‑tier consultant teams (architects, interior designers, planners, and engineers) to deliver luxury design briefs while steering DAs and statutory approvals.
• Delivery & Procurement: Oversee head contractor procurement, administer major construction contracts, and control program, budget, variations, and safety on‑site.
• Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Report directly to the principals and funders, manage relationships with joint venture partners and hotel operators, and mentor junior development team members.

About You:

• 8+ years of property development management experience, with a track record of taking high‑end residential, mixed‑use, or hospitality projects from feasibility to settlement.
• Proven delivery background in multi‑storey apartment, hotel, or mixed‑use developments.
• Exceptional financial modelling and feasibility skills, combined with strong commercial acumen.
• Working knowledge of QLD and NSW planning and approval processes.
• Tertiary qualifications in Property, Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Law, or Finance.
• Highly design‑literate, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working directly with founders in a fast‑paced, family‑owned business.
