Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead project teams delivering social housing developments. You will oversee planning, feasibility, design coordination, development management, construction delivery and financial governance.

You will build strategic relationships with community, government and private sector stakeholders to secure and deliver quality social housing outcomes, with responsibilities across Western Sydney and regional NSW.

Qualifications

• Delivery-focused role, managing projects from design through to construction handover.
• Delivering social housing projects across Western Sydney and regional Western NSW.
• Regular travel to project sites such as Dubbo, Bathurst and Orange will be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver social housing projects through a range of delivery models, including partnerships with private, community housing and not-for-profit sectors, to achieve Homes NSW objectives.
• Manage projects through the full lifecycle, including planning, stakeholder engagement, governance, financial management, risk management and reporting, ensuring outcomes align with program objectives and client needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business partners, contractors, consultants and government agencies, to support successful project delivery.
• Identify and manage legal, regulatory, operational and project risks, while driving continuous improvement, innovation and best-practice approaches.
• Prepare strategic and operational documentation and provide advice, reporting and project support to the Executive Leadership Team.
