Job summary

Intuitive Recruitment Pty partners with one of Australia’s largest property development groups, headquartered in Sydney CBD. They are seeking a Development Finance Manager with a strategic mindset to join their expanding team and drive business improvement.

You will manage budgets and cash flows, maintain IRR/NPV models, and provide financial advice to development managers, while ensuring quarterly internal audit readiness and strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification with a relevant tertiary qualification; 5+ years’ experience in the accounting, ideally within the property sector.
• Highly developed analytical skills with advanced Excel skills viewed favourably.
• Experience in Development Accounting environment, ideally knowledge of MRI/Cougar, EstateMaster, YARDI or Argus.

Responsibilities

• Development cost management and reporting including setting up budgets, forecast cash flows, tracking actual costs, reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Maintain property development cashflow models; Update IRR/NPV models; Notifying the CFO of any problems or risks; Build close relationships with all Development managers to ensure that you are providing the best financial advice
• Prepare finance section of the related report for each development; Development management fee claims preparation in accordance with the schedule; Completion of control testing every quarter in order to meet internal audit standards.
• Assist junior staff members with any concerns or queries they may have, and make sure they are always learning and being challenged.
