Americold is a global provider of temperature-controlled infrastructure. We partner with farmers and food producers to ensure their perishable and frozen product reaches food suppliers, restaurants, and your local grocery store without spoilage.

What you’ll Do

We are inviting expressions of interest for a Senior Developer – Supply Chain Systems to join our high-performing IT team. This role is pivotal in delivering enhancements and solutions across Americold’s proprietary WMS and integration platforms. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, and vendors to ensure scalable, high-value solutions that support our operational and customer needs.

As part of the Supply Chain Systems Group, you’ll contribute to the ongoing evolution of our in-house systems, ensuring they remain robust, compliant, and aligned with our global IT strategy.

Development & Delivery

• Design, develop, and enhance WMS and EDI applications
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Support SIT, UAT, and training documentation
• Contribute to key project initiatives across the ANZ region

Compliance & Support

• Ensure adherence to Americold’s development and change management standards
• Maintain compliance with IT controls (e.g., SOX)
• Provide technical support and assist with incident resolution

Project Execution

• Deliver solutions in line with Americold’s implementation methodologies
• Support project documentation and training delivery
• Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Promote a culture of innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement

What Experience and Education You Need

• Advanced experience in RPGLE and LANSA RDML development
• Strong knowledge of IBM iSeries (i5/OS, OS/400) and related tools (SEU, SDA, PDM, DDS, SQL, etc.)
• Experience with DB2, file triggers, journaling, and structured database design
• Exposure to IBM Sterling B2B Integrator or similar EDI platforms (desirable)
• Background in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
