Job summary

Bupa invites applications for a Senior Dentist Locum Relief to backfill health centres across New South Wales and Australia-wide. You will provide clinical leadership, support staffing decisions, and contribute to governance, quality, and safety across diverse health settings.

Applicants must hold Australian registration with AHPRA and have substantial post-graduate experience, including chair-side work. The role offers travel between centres and potential progression to permanent or national

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are expected.
• Strong management skills including leadership, conflict resolution and medical ethics understanding.
• Comfortable in a heavily administrative role and able to mentor and grow internal talent.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional leadership in the Health Centre.
• Advise on staffing levels and supervise clinical staff.
• Rectify unsafe clinical practice or unprofessional conduct.
• Implement and monitor administrative policies with governance bodies.
• Delegate secondary duties such as quality management, infection control and safety.
• Lead staff training and conduct performance appraisals.
• Manage delivery of services against KPI benchmarks and clinical governance standards.
• Collect and report data for quality reviews and incident reporting.
