Job summary

N Human Resources & Management Systems in Sydney is seeking a Databricks Solution Architect to join a data and AI consulting practice. You will design and lead enterprise-grade Databricks lakehouse solutions for global clients.

The role requires 10+ years of consulting/tech, 7+ years in data engineering, and hands-on Databricks expertise, with a mandatory Databricks Data Engineer Professional Certification.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of consulting and technology experience.
• 7+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Analytics.
• 6–8 enterprise Databricks implementations delivered in production.
• Databricks Data Engineer Professional Certification – Mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.
• Strong customer-facing consulting experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead enterprise-scale Data & AI solutions on Databricks Lakehouse.
• Architect scalable data platforms across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Lead end-to-end Databricks implementations from discovery to production.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Drive performance tuning, cost optimization and platform scalability.
• Implement CI/CD, DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Support MLOps and modern AI workflows.
• Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery sessions and executive presentations.
• Work directly with global enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive architecture/governance best practices.
