Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning seeks a Senior Data Scientist to lead end-to-end delivery of predictive models, applied AI, and Generative AI solutions that address high-priority business challenges across child safety, quality, and retention.

You will partner with stakeholders to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and ensure models are maintainable with strong governance and MLOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science or applied ML in large organisations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Advanced predictive modelling with gradient boosted methods and ensembles.
• Generative AI experience including LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on SQL and Python in production-grade code.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of predictive models and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify use cases and translate findings into decisions.
• Ensure model quality, monitoring, and governance across deployments.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts and engineers to embed solutions into business workflows.
• Strengthen team capability through technical direction and code reviews.
