Job summary

Queensland Treasury is recruiting a Principal Data Modeller in the Data and Analytics Division for the Brisbane CBD. The role balances strong technical leadership with client-centric analytics, focusing on ELT, data models and analytical outputs.

You will work with a positive team and divisional leaders, driving data platform reliability, data quality and scalable architectures using Databricks, Azure Synapse and SAP technologies.

Qualifications

Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).
3+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale projects (EDW/data lake/Lakehouse/analytics).
Experience with SQL, agile, data modelling, data engineering, ELT with Databricks and SAP technologies.

Responsibilities

Monitor data platform operations and pipeline reliability, resolving pipeline failures and communicating plans.
Source data, build ETL/pipelines, enhance data quality and extend the target data model.
Document solution architecture, integrations, procedures, and production changes.
