Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Data Business Analyst to deliver transformation initiatives within the Financial Management Portfolio. The role blends business and data analysis to support future-state finance solutions across Finance, Tax, Treasury and Operating Groups.

You will define data requirements, establish data lineage and governance, and ensure alignment with data architecture and reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Business Analyst or similar role within large-scale finance, regulatory, or data transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience with end-to-end data flows, including defining business and data requirements, source-to-target mappings, data models, data flows lineage, and data quality controls.
• Ability to partner with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Risk, Data, and Technology stakeholders to deliver complex business and reporting outcomes.
• Experience working with Subject Matter Experts, Solution Architects, and Business Architects to shape and deliver strategic solutions.
• Proven capability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver transformation initiatives within the Financial Management Portfolio.
• Blend Business Analyst and Data Business Analyst work to understand business outcomes and support future-state capabilities for Finance solutions.
• Define how data should be captured, structured, used, governed and distributed to enable downstream reporting and finance outcomes.
• Align business needs with data architecture and reporting outcomes through discovery, testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture and Business Architecture teams to support detailed requirements gathering and delivery planning.
