Job summary

REA Group is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for PropTrack in Richmond. You will design, build and operate data pipelines, models and APIs to power property data solutions for internal and external customers.

You’ll contribute to architecture discussions, improve data quality and system reliability, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative team. The role emphasizes scalable data platforms, modern stack (Airflow, BigQuery, Kafka, TypeScript/Node.js, Python) and cloud familiarity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience with data pipelines, data models and APIs.
• Strong programming in at least one modern language (TypeScript/Node.js or Python).
• Experience with GCP and/or AWS.
• Proven API ownership and data governance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines and APIs.
• Lead technical design discussions for data platforms.
• Work with Airflow/Breeze, BigQuery, Kafka and modern languages.
• Improve data quality, performance and scalable patterns.
• Provide mentoring to engineers in the squad.
• Ensure security and reliability in line with 'you build it, you run it'.
