Job summary

The Senior Data Engineer role at Bunnings sits in the Data, AI, Loyalty and Analytics team. You’ll design reliable data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow and Snowflake to support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.

You’ll lead technical decisions, coach engineers and influence data solutions across the organization, with opportunities to test ideas and contribute to AI use cases in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data engineering (7+ years) is required.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design scalable data solutions and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of trusted data products for reporting, analytics and AI initiatives.
• Build production-ready pipelines and reusable transformation frameworks.
• Design dimensional, Data Vault and semantic models for clarity and reuse.
• Make technical decisions around performance, cost, security and reliability.
• Improve automation across testing, deployment, monitoring and recovery.
• Coach engineers and share knowledge across cross-functional teams.
