Job summary

Mantel is an Australian-owned IT professional services consultancy helping clients leverage AI, cloud, data, and security. The Analytics Engineer will join Mantel Group’s Managed Services to build data capabilities and support data platforms for multiple clients.

The role focuses on delivering reliable pipelines, data solutions, and continuous improvement across projects in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data role experience (Data Engineer/DBA)
• Production support with SLAs
• Experience with data platforms and pipelines
• Cloud platform and infrastructure experience
• Ability to translate client needs into technical solutions
• Experience with reporting/visualisation tools (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik)
• Knowledge of data lakehouse/warehousing concepts
• Experience with DevOps tools (Git/Azure DevOps/dbt/Airflow)
• SQL proficiency; Python is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ownership and good judgement in client outcomes

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand data needs and deliver technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and maintain data platforms, pipelines and infrastructure
• Design and implement reliable data pipelines and data quality improvements
• Install and maintain monitoring/alerting for data environments
• Document solutions, procedures and best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation for production issues
• Escalate high-severity incidents as needed
• Liaise with internal teams and clients to backlogs for continuous improvement
• Demonstrate Mantel principles in professional conduct
