Job summary

Vivanti is seeking a Senior Data Architect to bridge business strategy and advanced data engineering. You will design end-to-end architectures, lead DataOps, and govern data privacy and metadata for large-scale enterprise needs.

You’ll partner with executives and engineering teams to translate complex constraints into actionable roadmaps, using modern cloud platforms and AI infrastructure. This role offers growth, mentoring, and formal learning opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect who bridges the gap between high-level business strategy and deep-tier data engineering. You aren't just a diagram builder; you are a systems thinker with a "consultant’s pulse" someone who has spent years in the trenches of enterprise environments, navigating complex legacy debt to build modern, scalable data products.

Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end data architectures (Data Lakehouse, Mesh, or Fabric) tailored for high-scale enterprise needs.

Strategic Consulting: Act as a bridge between technical engineering teams and executive stakeholders, translating complex technical constraints into actionable business roadmaps.

Engineering Excellence: Set the standard for DataOps, including CI/CD integration, automated testing for data pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Pulumi).

Data Governance & Security: Architect robust frameworks for data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), master data management (MDM), and metadata cataloging.

Performance Tuning: Audit and optimize large-scale distributed systems to reduce latency and cloud consumption costs.

Ideally you'll have;

Enterprise Background: Experience working with (or for) Tier-1 consulting firms or Fortune 500 internal enterprise teams.

Legacy-to-Cloud Migrations: A proven track record of successfully migrating complex, on-premise ecosystems to the cloud.

Influence & Communication: The ability to command a room of stakeholders and defend architectural decisions with data-driven logic.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate/Professional, or Azure Data Engineer Associate).

Experience implementing Generative AI or LLM infrastructure within an enterprise data ecosystem.

Contributions to the open-source data community or a history of speaking at industry conferences.
