Job summary

Experis is seeking a Lead Domain Architect (Data) at EL2-equivalent level to shape data strategy and drive enterprise-wide architecture across ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD or SA. Hybrid working with a 12-month contract and extension option will see you lead domain architecture, set future-state roadmaps, and influence major investments.

The role requires 8+ years in data architecture with hands-on experience in governance, MDM/RDM, data modelling, and security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years designing and delivering complex enterprise data solutions.
• At least 3 years in a senior architecture role (Lead/Principal EL2-equivalent).
• Strong ability to translate business strategy into architecture outcomes.
• Experience building architecture frameworks, governance, standards, and patterns.
• Proven in addressing complex architectural issues with senior stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, data governance, and data security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain domain architecture, future state roadmaps, and strategic technology direction.
• Provide architectural leadership across major programs, projects, and initiatives.
• Ensure alignment between solution architecture, standards, security, and business goals.
• Lead analysis of complex business and tech challenges and craft strategic recommendations.
• Establish architecture principles, governance frameworks, and patterns.
• Review designs for risks, dependencies, gaps, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with enterprise, solution architects, security, data leaders and delivery teams.
• Influence technology investment and prioritisation through strategic advice.
• Represent domain at architecture review boards and governance forums.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and their impact on capabilities.
