Job summary

Sydney Water in Parramatta/Olympic Park is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Application Migration Stream as part of the Optimising Digital Infrastructure (ODI) program. You will drive migration planning, risk management and cross-team collaboration to move applications into two new private data centres, ensuring security and compliance.

The role requires 10+ years of technology project management experience, Prince2 certification, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• A degree in technology or related sphere.
• 10+ years’ experience successfully project managing technology projects, including data centre migrations.
• Prince2 Certification or equivalent project-management training.
• Proven experience leading large programs and managing multiple projects in parallel.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Expertise in project governance, financials and resource management.
• Ability to build collaborative, high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Australian Government Baseline security clearance or higher desirable; AustralianCitizen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of the application migration to the new data centres.
• Ensure alignment of program principles to design and transformation of applications and services.
• Coordinate architects, owners, vendors and technical teams to deliver migration outcomes.
• Manage technical requirements, risks, dependencies and decisions into actions and delivery plans.
• Ensure secure, resilient and compliant solutions aligned to objectives and timelines.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and resources.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, workshops and cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain artefacts, migration plans and governance documentation; provide leadership and mentoring.
