Job summary

Megaport seeks a senior Compute Networking Engineer to design, build and evolve the data centre fabrics underpinning its bare metal and accelerated compute platform. You’ll work across leaf-spine architectures, GPU/storage networks, and automation that keeps them scalable and operable.

You’ll collaborate with engineering teams across time zones, including Brazil, and drive standards, documentation and next‑gen network initiatives in a fast-paced, globally focused environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating large scale DC networks.
• Deep understanding of IP routing, QoS, MTU, resiliency, and network failure scenarios.
• Proven ability to implement leaf-spine architectures with EVPN-VXLAN and BGP.
• Experience with data centre interconnects and network analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy resilient leaf‑spine fabrics for GPU, AI, and high‑performance compute infrastructure.
• Configure and operate switches, routers, and data centre interconnects.
• Develop network architecture standards, low‑level designs, and operational docs.
• Evolve network automation and monitoring systems (Capacity/Latency/Congestion/Availability).
• Provide technical summaries to leadership and act as escalation point for network operations.
