Cognizant seeks an accomplished Solution Architect with deep expertise in modern data platforms and a track record of leading data engineering teams. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience with Databricks and dbt Cloud, solid data architecture practices, and effective people and stakeholder leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks (Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, PySpark).
• Hands-on expertise with dbt Cloud (transformation, testing, CI/CD).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ELT/ETL patterns.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Demonstrated people-management experience.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong client and stakeholder management experience and ability to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple data engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Design and optimize data models, pipelines, and transformations using Databricks and dbt Cloud.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
• Lead data integration initiatives across multiple domains.
• Mentor and develop data engineering teams with effective coaching and performance reviews.
• Drive predictable delivery through sprint planning and progress tracking.
