Job summary

Indigeco Pty Ltd seeks an APS6 Senior Data Analyst to join the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing in a hybrid capacity. The role supports the Benefits Integrity Division – Risk Analytics Section by developing analytical models, dashboards and visualisation tools to monitor patterns of non-compliant behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, R or SAS, and a track record of handling large datasets to produce meaningful insights for senior

Qualifications

• Hands-on capability with SQL, Power BI, Python, R and SAS.
• Experience with large datasets and turning complex information into insights.
• Federal Government or regulated environment experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, reporting tools and visualisations.
• Use SQL, Python, R and/or SAS for data extraction, transformation, analysis and validation.
• Support development and refinement of analytical models.
• Document data sources, business rules, assumptions and reporting logic.
