Job summary

NSW Treasury in Sydney CBD is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that support performance management and informed decision-making for the organisation. You will work with complex data sources, implement validation, and strengthen data governance to deliver trusted analytics.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Power BI, SQL and data modelling, with experience in Fabric, Snowflake and related tools.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Query, DAX and data modelling.
Strong SQL capability and experience with complex datasets or data warehouses.
Experience delivering BI solutions from requirements through deployment and support.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Talend, Power Apps or Power Automate, plus Python or R.
Strong analytical, communication and data governance skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain intuitive Power BI dashboards for performance management.
Analyse data from multiple systems to identify trends, risks and insights.
Improve data quality, reporting reliability and single source of data truth.
Translate business needs into analytics products and support self-service analytics through training.
