Job summary

NSW Fair Trading is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to enable data transformation and migration as part of major digital and platform modernisation. You will map data flows, assess quality, and contribute to end-to-end migration activities to ensure trusted data for decision making.

Working with the Data Architect, Product Managers and Engineers, you will design data transformations, support governance, and provide analytics that inform migration choices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale technology data migrations.
• Deep knowledge of ETL concepts with hands-on experience using Informatica and Microsoft SSIS.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis expertise with attention to data accuracy and integrity.
• Experience with AWS services including AWS Glue and Amazon S3.
• Exposure to Salesforce platform migrations is highly favoured.
• Strong grounding in data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Data transformation and migration: design end-to-end source-to-target mappings for complex system integrations and oversee profiling, cleansing and reconciliation.
• Data quality, validation and assurance: create data models and datasets that meet business rules and regulatory needs.
• Analytics and insight: support performance monitoring and benefits measurement, and contribute to dashboards and reports.
• Business and stakeholder engagement: translate complex data issues for non-technical stakeholders and support readiness for data changes.
• Governance, standards and continuous improvement: maintain data quality and governance with security considerations.
• Collaboration & agile delivery: work with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies.
