The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to plan and deliver data projects, turning research into clear advice, reports and dashboards for justice programs.
You will source, manage and link data from diverse sources, work with policy teams to understand their needs and provide clear evidence and insights, and present findings through reports and visuals to inform policy and public reporting.

The Data, Performance and Governance (DPG) branch comprises of Evidence and Insights, Operational Performance, Assurance, Ministerial Services and the National Coronial Information System.
The branch leads the department's data insights, analytics and modelling function, provides oversight of the department's strategic and operational performance, leads assurance activities, coordinates key corporate reporting to government including the Department Performance Statements and supports the department's Ministers, holding responsibility for coordinating the Cabinet, Cabinet Committee and Victorian Secretaries Board briefing process.
As Senior Data Analyst, you will plan and deliver data projects. You will turn research and analysis into clear advice, reports and visual products.
You will:
You will have a tertiary qualification or relevant experience in statistics, criminology, economics, data analytics or social science. A focus on quantitative research methods or data analysis is highly desirable.
