Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Engineer / Technical Director Dams in Townsville to lead technical dam projects and grow our Dams team. You will guide design, assessment and construction phases, working with senior professionals across Australia and internationally.

The role offers leadership development, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and opportunities to work on water, tailings and hydropower projects in Northern Australia and beyond. A strong track record in dam engineering is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Deliver and manage technical work across a broad range of dams projects.
Apply expertise in geotechnical and structural engineering and/or design management.
Contribute to planning, assessment, design and construction phases of dams projects.
Develop trusted client relationships and support business development.
Prepare proposals, technical reports, designs and engineering assessments.
Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and emerging professionals.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
