About the Organisation

Yolk Digital is seeking multiple Cyber Security Engineers / Platform Specialists for the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) in the Cyber Security and Networks Branch (CRB) within the Information Management and Technology Division. The candidates will support critical ICT systems and provide sustainment of Cyber Security infrastructure and platforms, offering technical leadership, insights, and support to multiple DFAT sections.

Working Arrangements

Onsite: DFAT typically allows a hybrid working arrangement of (3x) days in the office and (2x) days from home depending on specific circumstances and at the line managers discretion. Hybrid, Interstate / remote based candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Security Clearance

An active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

It is expected that the successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Undertake technical improvements to stabilise and uplift security posture while maintaining critical IT systems.
  • Support platforms including Application Control, Vulnerability Scanning, Linux Infrastructure, Privileged Access Management, and Public Key Infrastructure Certificate Management.
  • Provide specialist knowledge of Cyber tools, systems, and processes for project delivery.

Skills & Experience

DFAT seeks suitable candidates with the following SFIA level:

  • Delivery and Operation / Technology Management (Secure Infrastructure Management) / IT Infrastructure (ITOP) - Level 4/5.
  • Industry certifications for listed platforms desirable.

Essential Criteria

  1. Linux/ RHEL/ Redhat Satellite/ IDM/ FA Policy D.
  2. App control / Carbon Black/ WDAC.
  3. Tenable Vulnerability Management, RunZero.
  4. Privilege Access Management (MFA, Delinea Secret Server, EntraID).
  5. Active Directory Certificate Services (PKI).
  6. Microsoft EntraID Cloud Sync.
