Job summary

OneStep Group seeks a Senior Cyber Security Architect to lead end-to-end engagements from discovery and design through implementation, validation and handover. You’ll translate business risks into practical security solutions and collaborate with client technology leaders.

This senior role combines security architecture, engineering and consulting, requiring hands-on expertise in cloud and on-premises environments, with strong communication and delivery leadership.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in security architecture, engineering, detection engineering or technical consulting.
• Led complex enterprise engagements from discovery to handover.
• Strong architecture and hands-on capability across network, endpoint, identity and cloud security.
• Practical experience implementing Essential Eight controls and Zero Trust, with knowledge of NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Experience with Defender, Sentinel, Entra and Intune, or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of secure network design, firewalls, segmentation, identity protection, cloud controls in Azure/AWS.
• Experience with SIEM, telemetry integration and SOC requirements; familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK.
• Clear communication, stakeholder management and accurate scope/effort estimation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end security engagements across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Design and implement security solutions across networks, endpoints, identity, and data protection.
• Drive Eight uplift and Zero Trust initiatives; translate recommendations into implemented controls.
• Strengthen detection and response through SIEM architecture and SOC integration.
• Guide clients through technical decisions; run workshops and craft architectures, plans and roadmaps.
• Mentor peers and contribute to reusable delivery methods and new service offerings.
