Job summary

The Victorian Department of Health is seeking a Senior Information Security Adviser to work with the Principal Cybersecurity Analyst, coordinating governance, risk, compliance and audits to actively manage cyber risks and raise the department's cyber maturity.

You will drive security uplifts aligned to organisational objectives, apply frameworks such as Victorian Protective Data Security Standards, Essential 8 and NIST, and use SharePoint and Power BI to manage dashboards and registers.

Qualifications

• Tertiary ICT/InfoSec degree or equivalent preferred.
• Strong project management, scheduling and reporting skills.
• Experience with cyber risk management and governance/compliance.
• Knowledge of common security frameworks is desirable.
• Proficiency with SharePoint and Power BI for dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to governance, risk, compliance and audits across departments.
• Support remediation of cyber risks and improve maturity.
• Coordinate activities with the Principal Cybersecurity Analyst.
• Analyse and recommend fit-for-purpose security solutions.
