Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

LMA has entered into an arrangement with BAE, Saab and CoA (MIWS) for the execution of all Combat System Integration work related to the Aegis Surface Combatant fleet.

The agreement, called the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement or CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1).

The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from LMA, BAE, Saab and the CoA to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.

The Senior Cost Schedule Analyst is responsible for the development and management of cost and schedule control systems, specifically within the CSI-IPT Earned Value Management System (EVMS). This includes creating and maintaining time phased budgets, project schedules, and managing baseline change requests while ensuring program governance and data integrity. The role also encompasses monitoring and controlling contract costs and schedules, ensuring alignment with negotiated parameters, government guidelines, and contractual obligations. Key activities include performing variance and risk analyses, preparing financial reports and program plans, proactively identifying and mitigating cost and schedule risks, and maintaining accurate funding projections to support program execution. Furthermore, the role requires incorporating contractual changes to maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines.

What you'll be doing:

Lead the creation and upkeep of the Tasking Statement Work Breakdown Structure (TSWBS), WBS Dictionaries, and Project Management Baselines (PMB), including managing approved changes.

Establish and maintain Control Account structures and Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RAM); develop and maintain Control Account Plans (CAP) utilizing rolling wave planning.

Lead monthly reporting cycles – collecting actuals, status updates, and Estimates to Complete (ETC) – and perform detailed variance analysis adhering to established business rhythms.

Lead Comprehensive Estimate at Completion (CEAC) activities, providing subject matter expertise (SME) to Control Account Managers (CAMs) during input development and program-wide consolidation.

Ensure consistent application of Earned Value Management standards, processes, and systems for accurate monitoring, reporting, and performance measurement throughout the project lifecycle.

Supporting Activities:

Provide support for Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) surveillance reviews, as directed by the CSI Project Planning and Controls Manager.

What you'll bring:

A comprehensive understanding of, and demonstrable experience applying EVM principles, concepts, practices, and standards specifically within an Australian Defence environment.

Awareness and working knowledge of estimating & pricing, commercial aspects, and finance (project accounting) principles.

Proven experience in effectively collaborating across multiple projects to achieve successful outcomes.

Proficient in using industry standard tools such as OpenPlan and Cobra.
