Job summary

The City of Rockingham is seeking a dynamic Senior Coordinator Community and Recreation Facilities to oversee operations across the Mike Barnett Sports Complex, Baldivis Indoor Sports Complex, Rockingham Autumn Centre and other community facilities. You will lead a high-performing team, shape safety, quality and service standards, and work with the Manager to deliver community-focused outcomes.

• Tertiary qualification in Leisure Science/Recreation or Business/Commerce.
• Knowledge of Community and Recreation Facility trends and innovations.
• Strong financial management with oversight of facility budgets.
• Strategic thinking for community facilities with capability to deliver plans.
• Experience across facility operations with leadership of a large team.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to oversee the operations of key community and recreation facilities, including the Mike Barnett Sports Complex, Baldivis Indoor Sports Complex, Rockingham Autumn Centre, and other community facilities.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead and develop a high-performing team, foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture, and ensure facilities are operated to the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and service. Working closely with the Manager Community and Leisure Facilities, you will play a key role in delivering strategic outcomes that enhance community participation and support the growing recreational needs of our community.

To be considered for this role

• Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in Leisure Science/Recreation or Business/Commerce
• Comprehensive knowledge of Community and Recreation Facility trends, technological advancements and innovations
• High level of financial management including oversight of annual facility budgets
• Well-developed strategic thinking for community and recreation facilities with the ability to deliver relevant strategies and plans across the identified facilities
• Experience across all operations of facility management including proven leadership skills of a large team

We are offering a gross annual salary range of $120,603 - $128,590 and:

• 12% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to a matching 5%
