Job summary

Central Desert Regional Council is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Aged Care based in Alice Springs. You will supervise, oversee and administer aged care services across Council locations, ensuring alignment with strategic plans and relevant legislation.

The role involves travel to remote communities as needed and is a full-time fixed-term position through to mid-February 2027. Offering a generous base salary (Level 7) with a total package and substantial leave entitlements, this role supports

Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) is a local government authority covering an area over 282,000 Sq. kilometres.CDRC builds sustainable communities through traditional local government services such as waste management, road repair and upgrades, and community services (Community Safety, Children's Services; Youth, Sport and Recreation, Aged Care) in 12 communities to the North of Alice Springs: Lajamanu, Ti Tree, Wilora, Nturiya, Pmara Jutunta, Willowra, Laramba, Nyirripi, Yuelamu, Atitjere, Engawala and Yuendumu. The Central Desert area is considered remote and disadvantaged and over 80% of the population is Aboriginal.

The Role:

The Senior Coordinator, Aged Care is responsible for the supervision, oversight and administration of aged care support services across assigned Council locations, in accordance with Central Desert Regional Council strategic and regional plans, policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

This role is based in Alice Springs, with travel to our remote communities when required.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position through until mid-February 2027, subject to extension.
