Job summary

Amida Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to lead the commercial and contractual delivery of a large-scale high-rise residential and mixed-use development. The role collaborates closely with the Project Manager and senior leadership to manage subcontractors, cost planning, contract administration and reporting, while mentoring junior team members.

Ideal applicants have 5–15+ years' experience in contracts administration within large-scale residential or commercial builds,

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5-15+ years' experience in a Contracts Administrator, Senior Contracts Administrator or Contracts Manager role.
• Strong experience delivering large-scale residential and/or mixed-use projects, or new build commercial projects.
• Excellent commercial acumen and contract administration skills.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contract & Commercial Management: end-to-end subcontractor procurement, tender assessments and contract negotiations.
• Preparing, administering and managing subcontract agreements.
• Managing progress claims, variations, extensions of time and final accounts.
• Maintaining accurate cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Ensuring contractual compliance and risk mitigation across all project stages.
• Coordinating with Project Managers to ensure commercial alignment with construction programs.
• Mentoring Assistant and Cadet Contracts Administrators.
• Coordinating with site teams, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Preparing detailed commercial reports for senior management.

Play a key role in delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments for a leading Sydney property developer with a strong and growing pipeline.

Our client is a leading property development and construction group delivering high-quality high-rise residential and mixed-use rent projects that contribute to vibrant urban communities.

With a strong and growing pipeline of large-scale projects across NSW, they are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join their commercial team. This is a senior role offering responsibility for the full commercial and contractual management of complex construction projects from procurement through to final account and will suit someone that is hands on.

Working closely with the Project Manager and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of subcontractor management, cost planning, contract administration and commercial reporting while mentoring junior team members and contributing to best-practice project delivery.

Having worked on new build Class 2 residential projects previously is ideal or having other commercial new build project experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating with site teams, consultants and external stakeholders
• Preparing detailed commercial reports for senior management

Systems & Process Improvement

• Contributing to continuous improvement of commercial systems and procedures
• Ensuring accurate documentation, reporting and record keeping
• Supporting best-practice contract administration across the business

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
• 5-15+ years' experience in a Contracts Administrator, Senior Contracts Administrator or Contracts Manager role
• Strong experience delivering large-scale residential and/or mixed-use projects, or new build commercial projects
• Excellent commercial acumen and contract administration skills
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities
• High level of organisation, attention to detail and time management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction cost management systems
