Job description
Overview

Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best!

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with Department of Transport and Main Road. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.

About the Role

As Senior Contracts Administrator, you will provide essential support to the commercial delivery of the Cross River Rail program. You will administer contracts, manage correspondence, support negotiations, and assist with the resolution of commercial and contractual issues. The role involves close engagement with alliance partners, technical experts and project teams to ensure contract obligations are met and governance standards upheld.

You’ll also gain exposure to Alliance contracting, offering a unique opportunity to broaden your expertise in a collaborative delivery model while contributing to commercial strategies and outcomes on a complex transport infrastructure build.

This opportunity is offered as a two-year fixed-term contract with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage contract correspondence, notices, payment statements in line with contract requirements.
  • Ownership of contract registers to support contract administration, risk and change management.
  • Review contractor correspondences and monthly reports and highlight potential commercial issues to managers.
  • Research, consult with subject matter experts and support the development of commercial strategies and frameworks to resolve contractual issues.
  • Draft advice, reports and briefing materials to managers on contractual matters and commercial implications.
  • Work in a team to assist and engage in contract negotiations with contractors and stakeholders.
About You
  • 5+ years’ experience in contracts administration and management support.
  • Proven ability to own and manage contract registers and administer routine contract matters autonomously.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience in preparing briefing material, commercial advice and contract correspondence.
  • A team player with sound interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering, Law or Construction Management are desirable.
