Job summary

Shape Recruitment is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the commercial side of a new $60m project in Bankstown, NSW. You’ll manage a CA and cadet, own procurement and subcontractor management, and drive variations and negotiations with strong cost reporting and forecasting discipline.

You will be pivotal in ensuring delivery without weekend work, with a clear progression path toward PM roles and a supportive team environment on-site, in Bankstown, and at the Lower North

Qualifications

• CA/SCA experience with head contractor delivery of $30m+ new build projects in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of head contract administration and cost reporting/forecasting.
• Ability to own the commercial position from procurement through to variations/negotiations.
• Experience mentoring junior CAs or cadets and developing teams.
• Experience on commercial, industrial, government or retail projects.

There are no Saturday hours, plus WFH and flexibility around site and office hours. You’ll earn $180k–$230k package, with an annual bonus paid in July.

You’ll lead the commercial side of a brand new $60m project in Bankstown involving retail, commercial and industrial buildings. An experienced PM will work alongside you, with a Contracts Manager you can turn to when you need another opinion or a bit of backing.

You’ll manage a CA and cadet, with the freedom to make decisions and help them develop. If you’ve been ready for that step for a while, here’s your chance to take it.

And if becoming a PM is where you want to head, that progression is available too. They promoted two SCAs to PM earlier this year.

The subbies are excellent, and they’re paid on time, meaning fewer awkward payment conversations, better relationships and more time to focus on the project.
