Job summary

WeBuild is seeking a Contract/Commercial Manager to lead contract administration for major civil projects in NSW. You will oversee claims, variations, and final accounts, while coordinating with project teams to ensure compliant procurement and timely payments.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and writing skills, with a deep understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and risk management. On-site collaboration with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract and commercial/finance management.
• Strong understanding of project deeds and subcontractor contracts.
• Solid understanding of contract law and contractual rights.
• Proven ability to negotiate and resolve disputes and variances.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interim progress claims and final accounts.
• Quantify scope changes and negotiate with clients.
• Manage subcontract progress payment claims and variations.
• Procure and negotiate contracts; manage time extensions and claims.
• Draft and negotiate Subcontract Agreements and terms.
• Ensure compliance with commercial requirements in contracts.
