Job summary

Sccsinternational in Canberra seeks a contract administrator to manage head contract claims, variations, and subcontractor assessments on large building projects. The role requires liaising with the client, preparing variations, and coordinating with site teams.

You will also handle cost forecasts, cash flow statements, and financial reports to executive management, and prepare tender documents for subcontractors.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in building, construction management, civil engineering, quantity surveying or similar.
• Solid experience as contracts administrator or quantity surveyor on large scale building work.
• Understanding of commercial and legal issues under head contracts.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, as well as tender and procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the client on progress claims under the head contract.
• Prepare head contract variations and assess subcontractor variations.
• Prepare cost forecasts and monitor the project financial status.
• Prepare cash flow statements and contribute to executive financial reports.
• Prepare tender documentation including pricing schedules, scope of works, comparative tender analysis and recommendations.
• Maintain site staff awareness of project scope and manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
