Job summary

Contec Recruitment is assisting a Brisbane-based developer-builder in finding an experienced Contract Administrator for a major inner-city residential project. The role focuses on procurement, subcontract administration and cost control across two high-rise buildings with premium amenities.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and delivery team to manage risk, variations and commercial performance on a multi-year pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Contract Administration experience within commercial construction.
• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Experience with principal contractor or developer-builder.
• Experience delivering medium/high-rise residential, mixed-use or complex multi-storey projects.
• Strong procurement and subcontract letting experience.

Responsibilities

• Procurement and letting of subcontract packages.
• Preparation of scopes of work and tender documentation.
• Tender analysis, negotiation and recommendations.
• Subcontract preparation and administration.
• Assessment and management of subcontractor variations.
• Progress claims and payment schedules.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Management of contractual correspondence and notices.
• Identify and manage commercial risk with the site team.
