Job summary

Aquent - Careers in Australia is seeking a Senior Content Writer to join the Marketing team on a 6-month contract in Sydney. The role focuses on maintaining the global content ecosystem, balancing brand storytelling with search performance, and ensuring high-quality content across channels.

You will lead day-to-day editorial delivery, support campaigns, and coordinate content across PR, CRM, social, eCommerce and design teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in content writing, copywriting or content marketing.
• Proven experience delivering SEO-informed content that drives traffic, engagement and conversion.
• Strong experience creating content across multiple formats and channels.
• Experience working within cross-functional marketing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong sense of brand voice and storytelling.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a practical, delivery-focused approach.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead content strategy and editorial calendar across global markets.
• Translate campaign direction and search insights into clear content briefs.
• Extend campaigns into editorial, evergreen and channel-specific content.
• Track and report on content KPIs and optimise performance.
• Apply SEO and GEO best practice across content for discoverability.
• Write and optimise journal articles, landing pages, product copy and editorial formats.
• Own end-to-end journal publishing—briefing, uploading, QA and optimisation.
• Maintain a premium editorial voice aligned to brand positioning.
• Lead product copy development for launches and existing ranges.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to articulate product USPs.
