Job summary

The Workforce Supply, Mobility and Reform team is looking for a Senior Consultant to support initiatives in attracting and retaining quality staff within the Western Australian public education system.

Job description

About the Position

This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP.

The role closes on 8 July 2026, 4:30 pm (AWST).

Who We Are

Workforce Supply, Mobility and Reform (WSMR) promotes the Department of Education as the employer of choice to local, interstate and international teachers. We represent the Department at expos, in universities, deliver online events and webinars, and work with the Communications team to create and maintain the Department website and promotional material.

Key Workforce Functions
  • International and interstate recruitment of high‑quality teachers.
  • Promotion of the Department as an employer of choice with a diversity of careers in education.
  • The Leap program to retrain teachers into specialised areas of need.
  • The Teach in WA customer service centre, providing information to prospective and current Department teachers.
The Role

Senior Consultant – Workforce Supply supports a range of programmes and projects related to attracting and retaining high‑quality staff in the WA public education system. The role involves interpreting data for briefings, developing strategic initiatives, and finding creative solutions to workforce challenges.

Eligibility
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or valid visa with relevant work rights.
