Job summary

Spinner Medical in Victoria, Warrnambool is seeking a psychiatrist to lead adolescent and young adult mental health services. You will deliver clinical assessments and treatments for 18–25 year olds, participate in MDT activities, and contribute to service development across community hubs.

The role emphasises recovery-oriented care, collaboration with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and OT, and active participation in teaching and supervision.

Qualifications

• FRANZCP or equivalent qualification is required.
• Proven expertise in adult psychiatric care with both medical and psychiatric assessments and treatment.
• Experience with 18–25 age group is highly regarded.
• Strong team skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Willingness to work across multiple sites and on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical assessment and treatment for young adults 18–25.
• Deliver and develop best clinical practice standards within the MDT.
• Participate in education and supervision of junior colleagues and students.
• Contribute to remote and rural service delivery as part of the responsibilities.
