Job summary

Spinner Medical Recruitment is seeking a psychiatrist to provide mental health clinical services across general adult psychiatry including an acute inpatient unit, PARC and community services in Victoria, Australia.

The role involves participation in early intervention initiatives, aboriginal health and remote/rural service delivery, plus primary assessments, treatment, and guidance to colleagues. A strong teaching role and education of junior staff are expected.

Qualifications

• UK CCT pathways are highly regarded to satisfy accelerated routes.
• Proven expertise in adult psychiatric care and combined medical/psychiatric assessments.
• Strong teamwork within a multi-disciplinary service.
• Ability to manage clinical duties across multiple sites.
• Commitment to teaching and supervision within the service.
• Willingness to work on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical assessment and treatment across general adult psychiatry.
• Deliver secondary consultations and guidance to colleagues.
• Develop and uphold best clinical practice standards.
• Participate in ECT and on-call roster.
• Educate junior colleagues and stakeholders.
• Support early intervention, aboriginal health and remote/rural service delivery.
