Job summary

Randstad Pty in Australia seeks an experienced Surveyor to deliver accurate survey solutions across construction, civil infrastructure and data centre projects, from initial set-out through to project completion.

You will use Total Stations and GNSS, establish and maintain survey control, interpret drawings, and perform as-built and deformation surveys while adhering to Australian standards and QA processes. A relevant surveying qualification and about 5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant qualification in surveying with extensive experience on construction and civil infrastructure projects in Australia.
• Experience establishing and maintaining survey control networks.
• Proficiency with Total Stations, GNSS, AutoCAD, data transfer, and field-to-finish workflows.
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and surveying best practice.
• Ability to work independently on site while maintaining accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of survey delivery across active construction and infrastructure projects.
• Plan, coordinate and execute survey activities from project commencement through to completion.
• Deliver engineering set-out and establish survey control for structural, civil and infrastructure works.
• Establish, verify and maintain site control networks to ensure accuracy throughout project delivery.
• Interpret drawings, engineering plans and specifications to support construction outcomes.
• Complete as-built surveys, monitoring surveys and deformation surveys where required.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure survey outputs meet project tolerances, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Process survey data and prepare accurate survey deliverables, including models and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, site supervisors and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges.
