Sociable Tech Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks a dedicated construction surveyor to support site measurements and set-out across multiple projects. The role collaborates closely with Surveyors and Site Engineers to ensure accurate positioning and alignment per design drawings.

Applicants should have 3+ years of surveying experience or relevant qualifications, and be proficient with total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser levels. WHS awareness and independent work ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in surveying, spatial information services, civil engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of work experience in lieu of qualification is acceptable.
• Experience in construction surveying or similar technical surveying role.
• Practical experience using surveying instruments: total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser levels.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Surveyors and Site Engineers with surveying activities, measurements, levelling and setting-out.
• Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS and laser levels to collect field data.
• Set out structural elements using reference points and drawings.
• Collect, record and process survey data and field observations.
• Read and interpret construction plans to support positioning requirements.
• Check levels, alignments and dimensions against project specs.
• Prepare field notes, sketches and documentation for review.
• Identify discrepancies between measurements and drawings and report them.
• Maintain surveying instruments and calibration arrangements.
• Coordinate surveying activities with site supervisors to support schedules.
