Job summary

Symal is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead major civil infrastructure projects with full ownership of delivery, commercial performance, safety and people leadership. You will guide project teams to deliver profitable outcomes while upholding Symal's high standards, with a hands-on leadership style and a focus on developing people.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, ~15 years' construction experience, and strong knowledge of contracts (AS2124/AS4000).

Qualifications

15 years of relevant construction experience.
Proven track record delivering civil infrastructure projects.
Strong commercial capability across forecasting, procurement, variations, EOTs and claims.
Sound knowledge of AS2124 and AS4000 contracts.

Responsibilities

Lead the successful delivery of major civil infrastructure projects.
Drive project profitability, forecasting, cash flow and commercial performance.
Manage commercial risk, variations, EOTs, claims and contractual matters.
Oversee major procurement packages and subcontractor performance.
Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat work.
Provide visible leadership across safety, quality and project delivery.
Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers and engineering teams.
Ensure projects are appropriately resourced with clear roles and accountability.
Drive consistent standards and best practice across multiple projects.
