Job summary

Symal Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead major civil infrastructure projects, driving delivery excellence and commercial performance. You will own safety, quality and client relationships while building high‑performing teams across multi‑project environments.

You’ll bring approximately 15 years of relevant construction experience, a civil engineering degree, and hands‑on leadership to mentor Project Managers and engineers, ensuring projects are resourced and delivered

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant construction experience.
• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects valued at $30M+.
• Strong head contractor / civil construction experience.
• Solid knowledge of AS2124 and AS4000 contracts.

• Drive project profitability, forecasting, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Manage commercial risk, variations, EOTs, claims and contractual matters.

Construction Manager | Civil Infrastructure

Lead major civil infrastructure projects, drive commercial performance and build high‑performing teams with Symal.

Symal Infrastructure is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to take a key leadership role across our civil infrastructure projects.

This is a senior position with genuine ownership across project delivery, commercial performance, safety, client relationships and people leadership. You’ll lead and support project teams to deliver strong, profitable outcomes while maintaining the high standards Symal is known for.

What You’ll Be Doing

About You

You’re an established construction leader with a strong track record in major civil infrastructure and the commercial capability to match.

You’ll bring:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Approximately 15 years’ relevant construction experience
• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects valued at $30M+
• Strong head contractor / civil construction experience
• Experience leading large project and engineering teams
• Strong commercial capability across forecasting, procurement, variations, EOTs and claims
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts including AS2124 and AS4000
• Strong client and stakeholder management capability
• A hands‑on leadership style and genuine commitment to developing people
• Strong safety leadership and a focus on high‑quality project delivery
• Current Australian Driver Licence
