Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking an experienced Community Rehabilitation Leader to provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across the Health Independence Program and Community Rehabilitation Service. You will oversee Kew and Fairfield teams, drive governance, and foster an evidence-based, person-centred approach to rehabilitation.

The role requires an allied health degree, registration, and extensive post-graduate rehab leadership experience, with a focus on service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Allied Health discipline.
• Current AHPRA registration, where applicable to your profession.
• A minimum of seven years’ post-graduate experience, with at least three years in rehabilitation/community-based services.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary community rehabilitation standards and evidence-based practice.
• Experience in service development, project management and/or quality improvement.
• Current National Criminal History Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, service development and implementation across Community Rehabilitation.
• Provide operational and clinical governance across CRC, RITH and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation services.
• Lead day-to-day operations of Kew CRC and RITH, including workforce management, recruitment, staff development and service delivery.
• Supervise and support the Fairfield CRC Team Leader.
• Monitor activity targets and Medicare revenue achievement.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary client allocation, assessment, treatment, care planning and discharge planning.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to staff.
• Lead team meetings, case conferences, projects, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage clinical risk, incidents, consumer feedback and service concerns.
• Maintain safety, infection control and occupational health and safety standards.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support student and volunteer coordination and encourage participation in research and evidence-based practice.
