Job summary

Royal Rehab LifeWorks Community is seeking a Senior Exercise Physiologist to deliver evidence-based EP services across rehabilitation programs. The role includes clinical leadership, complex assessments and exercise prescription, plus mentoring junior clinicians and students.

You will contribute to service improvement, education and evidence-based practice within Lifeworks, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve person-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Exercise Physiologist with current AEP status.
• Experience in rehabilitation and multidisciplinary settings.
• Proven leadership, supervision and mentoring ability.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and teamwork.
• Desirable postgraduate qualifications or advanced clinical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Exercise Physiology assessment and intervention.
• Manage complex rehabilitation caseloads, including neurological and disability-related conditions.
• Provide clinical guidance, supervision and mentoring to EP staff.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical education and service development.
• Support best practice and person-centered rehabilitation outcomes.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Exercise Physiologist to join Royal Rehab Lifeworks and provide high-quality, evidence-based exercise physiology services across our varied and diverse rehabilitation and musculoskeletal rehabilitation programs.

The Senior Exercise Physiologist will provide clinical leadership, complex assessment and exercise prescription and contribute to multidisciplinary rehabilitation planning and support the development of junior clinicians and students. The role will also contribute to the service improvement, clinical education and evidence-based practice across Lifeworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Exercise Physiology assessment and intervention

Essential

• Degree-qualified Exercise Physiologist.
• Current ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) status.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in rehabilitation.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and multidisciplinary skills.
• Experience providing supervision/mentoring or clinical leadership.

Desirable

• Experience in neurological rehabilitation, private hospital or disability services.
• Postgraduate qualifications or demonstrated advanced clinical expertise.
