Job summary
The Northern Land Council is seeking a Community Economic Development Officer to lead community-led development across Kakadu and West Arnhem, supporting investment planning, governance and sustainable enterprise opportunities for Traditional Owners.
You will work with 14 clan groups, building partnerships, strengthening governance and financial capability, and ensuring Traditional Owners retain control over investments, housing, infrastructure and enterprise initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in economic, community or enterprise development and investment facilitation.
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and governance structures.
- Ability to develop and implement funding or investment programs with strong reporting skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead community-led economic development, investment planning and governance initiatives across Kakadu and West Arnhem.
- Support Living on Country and Economic Empowerment Fund investments in housing, infrastructure, enterprises and related initiatives.
- Strengthen governance and financial capacity, supporting emerging leaders and partnerships.
